| Wednesday, November 19 - [3:38 AM] Rediscovered Heretic/Hexen again. These games have one of the most impact on me with the imagery of war in medieval fantastic theme. Heretic - remembered playing this game. Only recently i read that you were playing as an ELF, a Sidhe Elf to be exact, and that you're the last of your race. I think his coolest weapon is that serpent staff and the one that shoots red particles like a machine gun Hexen - enjoyed this even more. There are three classes to choose from, bully boy (fighter), altar boy (cleric), and nerd boy (mage) * Baratus the Fighter (or more like, a Ahhnold) from the Legion - uses his fists wielding spiked gauntlets, Timon's axe (who's Timon? the runt in the Lion King?), the Hammer of Retribution, and his ultimate weapon is a black sword that burns with a green fire called the Quietus. Upon swinging, it releases black shards in a straight path. * Parius the Cleric from the Church - weapons are Mace of Contrition, the Serpent Staff (which i think is cool because of that blinking eye), Firestorm (forgot what it looked like), and his ultimate weapon is the Wraithverge which releases spirits that home in on targets. Quite destructive since the spirits will relentlessly go in and out of you till you croak. Problem is, if you have one of those deflecting items, you could send the spirits back to the one who released it. Quite useful when i battled the evil Cleric in the last stage of the game. * Daedolon the Mage from the Arcanum - uses the Sapphire Wand which is a simple wand that fires fast projectiles that look like glitterdust, Frozen Shards, Arc of Death (both of which are spells rather than weapons), and the Bloodscourge is his ultimate weapon, firing three blood-red, somewhat slow, fireballs which has a limited homing capacity much like the sword of the Fighter. This character also has the lowest hit points Hexen II - i had the unfortunate situation of not experiencing this game. It is the hybrid of the Hexen universe with the Quake engine, and even has more variety in classes. * Assassin - Katars, Hand Crossbow, Grenades, and a staff with a scarab beetle (?) called the Staff of Set. Now what is an assassin doing using a staff to assassinate? * Paladin - Gauntlets, Vorpal Sword, Axe, and the Purifier * Crusader (seems like a whiner Paladin to me) - War Hammer, Ice Mace, Meteor Staff, Lightbringer * Necromancer - Sickle, Magic Missles, Bone Shards, and the Raven Staff * Demoness - a creation of the last Serpent rider, Eidolon, she is from the expansion to H2. She uses Blood Fire, Acid Runes, Firestorm, and the Tempest Staff As you have noticed, it's so damn hard finding comprehensive information on these. They are almost abandonware because they're games on or before 1997. Which means, it's the era of crappy Windows 95. Sigh. Keep on searching ... -~~oOo~~- Tuesday, November 11- [7:18 PM] Dark Giant Planet - i'm thinking of a certain gorgonaut of a generation later than the 25th (Druu is from the 25th) who has become completely neutral and isolationist but aspired to create a city somewhere in DGP. Of high-level plasma manipulation skill (almost like a mage) and unholy strength and resilience as well, he chose to separate himself from the conclave to carry out a basic gorgonaut instinct: to construct and build. I'm thinking of a name, perhaps i'll call him Seventh for now. Like all post-25th generation gorgonauts, he looks like all others of his siblings. A little more than five feet, Seventh looks like a gaunt teenager wearing black garments (which is actually a type of exo-skeletal armor), and his bald head has a face which seems like a jawless, white mask with eyeless sockets. So that makes him look like a cross between Neo of The Matrix and the Phantom of the Opera. Starting from a village to a bustling city, he is its protector, benefactor, judge, police, executioner, neither loved nor hated but rather, ultimately respected by its inhabitants. He will execute both a criminal and a beggar, annihilate both invaders and traders as long as he see fit (although any invader will think twice, no matter how strong they are, or how Seventh behaves at that time). Now i wonder if i should let Tami, Druu, and Rasa encounter this gorgonaut ... and how Druu will react. - [12:08 AM] Dark Giant Planet - introducing the stonemaidens: the counterpart of the godlike Dominions, this time, they are female Ratha warriors who have shut down their minds and have their bodies transformed into an almost invincible machine of might. The Stonemaiden form is very rarely performed by the Ratha, much like the Dominion (which are performed only by males as well), and much less the Gate form. It is also a sort of 'sacrifice' in that it is used in times of dire need, like protecting a sacred place or stronghold. It is involuntaribly used however, in times of extreme negative emotions including sorrow and anger. -~~oOo~~- Monday, November 10- [10:12 PM] Just imagined what Tami looked like when a little younger: short hair, boyish, and that rooster top is a tussle of hair seemingly out of place :) -~~oOo~~- Dark Giant Planet is the intellectual property of Francis del Mundo. copyright © 2003, all rights reserved |
