- [5:21 AM] Dark Giant Planet - the mejira are actually based on the physiology of the ratha that's why they have similar ways of manipulating plasma.

- [6:45 AM] Dark Giant Planet - i have thought of major players in the elderstar strain of gorgonauts:

Elderstar - the ancestor of the gorgonauts, all that's left of it is its shell; not much is known about Elderstar, as the gorgonauts took sentience long after it died

Uruma-Kazan - the primary boss dude of the elderstars, and basically, a godly plasma-wielder

Mejira - the creator of the 'artificial' gorgonaut race, also a plasma-wielder, was at odds with Uruma-Kazan, even modifying his own body that he's no longer recognized as one of the elderstar strain

Tisif, Ares - two other gorgonauts who thought the same as Mejira and was annihilated by Red Element

the gorgonaut, Red Element - a fighter gorgonaut of massive strength, who had annihilated several outsiders (beings outside the creation of a universe) but was tricked by Mejira to enter the universe inhabited by the Ratha (making Red Element an outsider in many respects) and was therefore killed

the gorgonaut, Netherdaemon - an outcast even among the gorgonauts (gorgonauts are solitary beings, but they have a hierarchical respect for those in power), banished because he couldn't be recognized as a spawn of Elderstar and suspected as an outsider (i have a neat story for this soon)

- [6:10 AM] Dark Giant Planet - i'm thinking of a major change for Druu (even a name change), at least in character. My last design for him is that he's a totally naive guy who joins up with Tami, and has unusual talents. Also, he used to be a sword-wielder (i've even designed a singled-edged sword for him called the Reabyss) and a matter manipulator, which is quite unusual for gorgonauts which are usually plasma manipulators. After that, i imagined him to be a spear-wielder using a gorgonaut spear/lance/javelin that he energizes at the point and deals explosive damage, as well as owning a dragon sphere (or orb), that has a sentience based on the controller.

His background will remain the same though. He originated from the Mejira'Gairan strain of gorgonauts, and that somehow in his early life, was forced to undergo sort of a stasis, but all the while, information is instilled in the memories (i want to cook up a term for this process). So that means he would be about 7,138 years old when he finally wakes up, and has the appearance of an adult in his early 20s but still having a demeanor of an adolescent (Rasa would be older, as i made her to be about 32,756 years old, fairly young for a ratha). Also, i am musing on the idea that he's actually been there at the time when Renzelon and his blacksmith of a brother Gozig were roaming around, a period in DGP history when the last elderstar gorgonauts were defeated by a binding beast.

Now my changes would consist of him having ether-matter manipulation (almost like a mage), as well as some plasma-enhanced fighting ability. Usually, if you're a gorgonaut, ether and matter skills are impossible to acquire and they rely either on strength (with a myriad of body designs), or pure plasmatic prowess, because of the fact that plasma easily destroys matter and that plasma combines with ether forming anti-ether, which destroys ether in turn.

- [12:15 AM] Salamanca: 1800 - rather than wait at the last minute to introduce this title or let the juice run dry, i would like to announce (as if anyone's reading this) or more like remind myself, that i started this one with a dark, gothic, medieval, Spanish, gory theme.

Enter Jillian Ibarraconmienda, hunter-seeker from an abolished division of mystics, the Salamankeros, suddenly popping up in a protected haven asking for help from the salamankero elders. A dozen questions come into the mind of the weary and untrusting circle of the mystics upon her visit, but it seems like her message is more important than her presence.

Set in the backdrop of 19th (or is it 18th?) century alternate Philippines, which is only known as the Filipinas archipelago, the salamankeros had to decide if either they should reunite the circle or completely abolish their lines and leave the colony to its fate.

Author's note: Whew. Story-making is mentally tiring.

- [12:35 AM] Ok let me clear things first, Dark Giant Planet (or DGP) and Age of Darkened Earth are one. I'm just thinking of a cooler name while i stick DGP to my own face.

- [12:22 AM] Dark Giant Planet - from a nomadic gypsy tribe comes Tami Paj, a young lass adept in the old arts of witchcraft. She wanders the better part of the Summerlands* and the newly established settlements of the Magestic refugees.

Author's note: Tami is supposed to be the heroine of the story with Druu (?) and Rasa as the supporting characters. However, it would be better to create story arcs instead so i could cycle through each character and their developments.

* The Summerlands are an expanse of natural fields and sparse forests where most human races thrive. Tami is one of the last of the 'old' generations, people who are closest in gene structure to the ancient humans. Ofcourse we wouldn't be going into genetics in the story, but i'm just making it clear that man underwent evolution in the most fantastic of ways.

- [10:17 PM] Dark Giant Planet - some ominous structures are ever present in DGP. Some have constellationary, religious, or seasonal signficance.

a) Star marker - monoliths with embedded crystals at opposite faces, these structures are even made with stone not natural to the sorroundings. They are believed to be used as markers for a specific star or constellation tangent to the horizon.
b) Winter needle - structures of bluish metallic stone with a base of snow flake design, these needles are used to signify the coming of winter. The whole of DGP undergoes winter when the orbit travels at the side farthest from the sun.
c) Sunder needle - similar to the winter needle, but with a base of fading sun design, it signifies the 'fifth' season right after summer and before autumn. It is the opposite of winter and therefore, the planetary orbit of DGP is on the other side of winter. This season seems to 'split' the seasons and is characterized by warm rains throughout its duration.
d) ... more soon ...

- [9:49 PM] Dark Giant Planet - the story in DGP should mostly revolve around the exploration and history of the lands. I've placed a setting where the planet is about the size of Jupiter but with an actual land mass instead of a gas planet. Physically speaking, a solid planet that big would generate gravitational force of stellar magnitude, and the core would be dense beyond imagining. Anyway, disregarding that, exploration would be much more exciting if the setting is really big (imagine our Earth is about thousands of times larger, while we remain in our current size), where sentient races will number in the thousands, and the remaining species in the billions. Also, humans will not be limited to homo sapiens, but with a host of other differences that does not limit itself only in body build and skin color. That is how i thought of homo nocturne, humans that are especially adapted to the night.

With the thought of an evolutionary twist in the mix, the ordinary bone structure would not be limited to four limbs, but unto six limbs as well, thus giving birth to four-armed humans (the Godmen) and winged quadrupeds.

- [9:30 PM] Dark Giant Planet - the physics of DGP is as follows. The nature of abilities and magics are summarized in the three primordial elements, ether, matter, and plasma.

* basics
a) ether
- realm of magic
- can be malevolent/benevolent
- the sign of ether is a black hole
b) matter
- neutral and passive
- the sign of matter is a planet
c) plasma
- can be entropic/structured
- the sign of plasma is a star

* element combinations:
ether + matter = plasma resistance (absorbs plasma)
ether + plasma = anti-ether (destorys pure ether, but not ether-matter combinations)
plasma + matter = ether deflection (redirects ether-based attacks)
plasma + matter + ether = void or spirit

- [9:03 PM] Dark Giant Planet - the counterpart of the dragons in DGP are the Reaths. Serpentine in form, eyeless, but with a maw full of sharp teeth, these beings are chaotic when young, and become wise when old (much like some dragons). They exhibit some characterisitcs similar to the gorgonauts: anti-magic and plasma deflection (anti-magic is like ether deflection). They learn verbal languages if given the chance to come in contact with other races (if made not to eat them) but they can develop limited mind language as well. The reaths are originally planet parasites, but the one which landed in DGP cared for it, and eventually became its guardian.

- [12:46 AM] Dark Giant Planet - the ratha race are classified into three: the Archons, the Dominions, and the Gates.

The archons are the only ones whose 'mind' is fully intact, and is the governing class as well as the soldier class. Which means the other two classifications are more like 'special' forms the ratha become or decide to become.

The dominions are a higher, more powerful form of an archon, except its mind has a singularity in purpose, meaning it lives only to do a mission above all else. Some dominions are still mentally whole enough to communicate with, and even some depends on other archons for decisions. The soldier-queen Ariam controls the dominion Techin, who in actuality, is her brother who has sworn to protect her at all costs.

The last classification, the gates, are archons who gave up their lives to either permanently bear the pain of sealing terrible forces in their bodies or prohibit the travel to later universes.

- [11:37 PM] Dark Giant Planet - i was thinking now in terms of alignment. Would there also be a battle of good versus evil ? The classic theme is too redundant, but if i can't make a new alignment structure, then perhaps i could think of a twist. For example, 'evil' needs to do something to preserve 'good', but 'good' is blind, and is preventing 'evil' from accomplishing its task.

- [5:39 AM] Dark Giant Planet - on their way to a new world, the exiles of Magestic and Antichaos settled briefly in what is now known as Sorrow Isle where a brief clash between the refugees further deepened the mistrust between them.

- [5:34 AM] Dark Giant Planet - at some point in history, Antichaos was purposefully destroyed by Magestic knights when a Corruptor Lord was able to make its way from the remnants of the sixth universe. Both Magestic and the remnants of Antichaos (which rebuilt a new kingdom and founded the Guardia Antivoid) had to leave the continent to escape the planar corruption that was able to take root in their midst.

- [5:14 AM] Dark Giant Planet - Rasa is supposed to be a ratha soldier in the present universe. Her race have lived mutually with humans in DGP in the isle-continent of Magentia. The resident kingdom, Magestic, eventually learned of the fate of the ratha race and have adopted their tenets to become a guardian kingdom along with the mistrusted lords of Miramina (which later renamed itself as the Guardian Kingdom of Antichaos).

- [4:49 AM] Dark Giant Planet - the Ratha is a guardian race similar to the elderstar gorgonauts. They are angel-winged humanoids in form but can vary greatly in characteristics. In the present universe (the seventh universe upon counting), from which they were able to enter, they decided to lay their race to an eternal rest (they don't really belong anywhere anymore). Unlike the elderstars whose power is characterized by resistances, anti-magic, deflection, and physical strength, the ratha soldier almost always make use of plasma manipulation. They can also manipulate the ether however, but loathe doing so because it is easily corrupted.

- [4:10 AM] Dark Giant Planet - gorgonauts is a term i use for a race of planar soldiers. They originally are a race from a previous universe (perhaps the third or second) more specifically in the Elderstar cluster, therefore these beings are called elderstar gorgonauts. When one of these primordial gorgonauts realized their race would eventually die out, it offspringed an 'artificial' generation, which is more adaptable but more volatile. This spawn were called the Mejira'Gairan named after its 'creator', Mejira. When the cluster naturally obliterated during the collapse of the universe it resides, some of the elderstar gorgonauts were able to make it through the outside along with the mejira offspring. Some of the elderstars disapproved of the creation of the mejira (there were other artificial offsprings, Tisif'Gairan and Ares'Gairan but was obliterated by enraged elderstars) and worked actively to silence them. The elderstars were more powerful, but the mejira were adaptable, thus, the battle ended with a few neutral elderstars who simply fought for survival and the mejira continuing the gorgonaut race.

- [3:43 AM] Dark Giant Planet - Uncertain as to the nature of Druu, as either an Ancients soldier or a gorgonaut soldier. But i may stick with the original plan that he is a gorgonaut.

Monday, January 6
- [7:26 AM] Dark Giant Planet - the existence of three primordial elemental planes: matter, plasma, and ether. The natural elements water, air, and earth belongs to matter, while fire is under plasma. The ether element covers all the unnatural or transcendent elements, life, death, holy, and unholy. All mortals reside both in the matter and ether, that's why they have a connection to both, but more on the matter plane except for certain trees that have equal bearing on both (that is why they are used by some ether creatures as gateways to the matter plane). All supernatural beings reside in the ether plane but some have a connection to the matter plane as well. Only the Star Sentients are known to reside in the plasma plane.

- [7:13 AM] Dark Giant Planet - my idea of the Invis was sort of like the reverse of the Undead, but i am still sketchy on coming up with their nature. If the undead is the foul abomination of the husks of mortals, then the invis should be the entity that exists before a soul grows in the mortal body, like a larval stage of a spirit. I'm considering though, that the invis can also be necromantic in origin, but in some ways, holy in purpose. I also thought that the invis would be an artificial race made by a powerful plasma/void/ethereal entity (i.e. the Child of the Void) possibly for personal reasons.

- [7:00 AM] Dark Giant Planet - the planet is supposed to be a satellite of a neutron star that already underwent a supernova explosion. but i don't think planets would remain after the supernova stage. Perhaps a small, dwarf star with exceptional gravitational strength would be more appopriate as a setting. Also considering if the previous inhabitants of DGP are humans, and because of some catastrophic phenomenon were wiped out but was able to hibernate or in stasis. Meanwhile, the DNA structure of vertebrates took quite a turn, which lets the existence of six-limbed creatures to emerge. Thus the Godmen are more like four-armed barbaric humans, and the existence of wings on other humanoid creatures. I don't want the story to settle too much on these technicalities though.

Sunday, January 5
- [2:13 AM] Dark Giant Planet - currently thought up humanoid races in DGP: the Invis, the Godmen, unnamed angel-like race, unnamed demon-like race (both mortals), unnamed nocturnal humans race (scientifically named as homo nocturne), the original humans (termed by the present races as ancients)
